Meet Nick Bradfield

I help founder-led businesses get unstuck and start growing again.

Not as a consultant who read a book. As someone who sat in your seat, used the same system, and built two organizations to an exit because of it.

I didn't come to EOS from the outside. I came to it as an owner. Used it to scale a company and a veteran-focused nonprofit. Both led to exits (and one of which had A LOT of lessons learned from pain where I almost lost everything). After the second one, people kept asking me to help them do the same thing.

That's how I became an implementer. Not by going to school for it. By doing it.

I've run 300+ sessions across the country. The work is always the same: help the leadership team get clear, get aligned, and start executing.

Who I Work With

My clients are founder-led, usually $5M or more in revenue, with 10-250 employees, and with a leadership team of two or more people.

They're not failing. They're frustrated.

Maybe the business has grown but the team hasn't kept up. Maybe revenue is flat and nobody can agree on why. Maybe the founder is still the answer to every question, every decision, every problem, and it's exhausting. Maybe they've tried things, consultants, new hires, new tools, and nothing has stuck.

They're smart people. They work hard. The business just hasn't caught up to what they know it could be. And the founder probably wants to get his/her life back.

The teams I work with are warm, respectful, and committed.

Warm- I enjoy getting to know the business owners on a more personal level… what makes them tick. As a result we often become friends.

Respectful- When one of us reaches out, the other gets back to them. The more I know about what is actually going on the better I can help. If you reach out to me to chat, I’ll get back to you. I expect the same level of respect.

Committed- The teams I work with are willing to commit to the process and commit to each other, even when they’re “busy” and when it gets tough.

That's the inflection point where I do my best work. That’s when I help them grow with intention.

I also have a soft spot for veteran-owned businesses. Shared values of discipline, accountability, and mission make for a short learning curve. If that's you, even better.

What I Do

I coach committed clients to grow with intention… the intention of relieving frustrations of people, lack of profits, lack of time, hitting ceilings consistently, and trying things that don’t work.

I do this by helping the teams implement EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System). EOS is a simple set of tools that helps align teams on a common vision, execute on it with discipline and accountability, and function as a healthy team that attacks issues head on (instead of letting them fester). We start with the leadership team and then roll out the tools through the entire organization.

I teach the tools. I coach the leaders. I facilitate the sessions.

I host a 1 hour monthly virtual office hours where we prioritize issues and solve as a group. I also host periodic events for clients and connectors.

The results when teams are committed to the process and to each other are simply AMAZING! I’ve seen teams earn multi-year 9 figure contract extensions. I’ve seen teams beat their EBITDA targets for the year by 3x. I’ve seen founders take a vacation for the first time in years without working. That is the result of the leaders leaning in and committing to the process and to each other. But to be clear… if you don’t commit and do the work in between sessions you will waste a lot of time and money.

Why I Do This Work

I believe small businesses are the backbone of the economy. I’m fascinated by the entrepreneurial spirit and the stories behind businesses. Running a small business can be lonely and painful, but it doesn’t have to be like that. I wish I had been more receptive to coaching in the early days of running businesses myself. I could have avoided a lot of pain. My goal is to help relieve some of those pains, make running a business more enjoyable, and help the leadership teams get more of whatever it is that they want from the business. In doing so, it allows me to leave a meaningful impact on the people and communities I serve. I get to leave a dent in the universe for the greater good.

What Sets Me Apart

Sat In Your Seat

I've started, grown, failed, started over, grown again and exited businesses. You're not getting advice from someone who's only seen this from the outside.

Marine Corps Veteran

I'm not afraid to have hard conversations. I name what I see and push on it. The anxiety around an issue is almost always worse than actually dealing with it.

I Listen For What's Not Being Said

Most of the time, the real issue isn't the one on the table. I pay attention to the hesitation, the thing nobody wants to bring up. That's usually what needs to be addressed first.
